Never Forget – 9-10-2011
In remembrance of the events of 9/11/2001, I present a photo I took sometime around 1992 or so. These four young men (now much older!) were members of a soccer team I coached. We were participating in the Neptune, NJ soccer tournament and went to NYC for the day, taking a trip to the Statue of Liberty. As we were waiting for the boat to take us back, I snapped several photos, but liked this one as the background held the Twin Towers. Never forget!
Sunday Blast from the Past – 7/24/2011
It’s been a long week with my “real job”, so I’m sorry I’ve missed posting! Today’s blast was taken about 15 years ago at Ford’s Theatre in Washington, D.C. This is the box where President Lincoln was shot. The lighting was very poor, so I converted to black and white. There is a lot of history in this country! Enjoy.
Sunday Blast from the Past – 7-17-2011
Sometime back in the late 70s, I was in downtown Greensboro and (for some reason) thought I’d take this photo. As it turned out, I really liked it. Enjoy!
Sunday Blast from the Past – 7-10-2011
Every Sunday, I’ll attempt to find a photo that I took in my youth (at least 20-25 years ago!) and post here. It probably won’t be technically great, but hopefully show my attempts to take pictures. The first is when I was 16 – this is the GGO (Greater Greensboro Open, now the Wyndham Championships) in 1973 at Sedgefield Country Club. It’s Pro-Am day and I had to fight a crowd to get near Arnie – my favorite golfer! Enjoy!
